President Dalia Grybauskaitė, currently on a two-day visit in Poland, met with Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. The meeting focused on cooperation between Lithuania and Poland in the European Union and the expansion of bilateral relations across economic and energy areas.
State visit to Poland: consolidation of achieved results
President Dalia Grybauskaitė met with Polish President Andrzej Duda. The President of Lithuania is in Poland on a two day state visit to consolidate the results achieved over the past ten years, take stock of the work done and set the guidelines for future cooperation. This year marks the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin – which places a symbolic emphasis on the timing of the visit.

Lithuania and Poland reaffirm their support to Ukraine in Lublin

President Dalia Grybauskaitė, who is continuing her two-day state visit to Poland, took part in a trilateral meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The meeting took place at the headquarters of LITPOLUKRBRIG, a multinational Lithuanian, Polish, and Ukrainian brigade, named after Hetman Konstanty Ostrogski of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The three presidents met with soldiers serving in the brigade. Strengthening military cooperation was on top of the meeting’s agenda. According to the President, the tri-national brigade is an excellent example of successful military cooperation and an opportunity for Ukraine to come closer to NATO. Ukraine’s strategic course towards membership in NATO has been defined by the Constitution in a separate article.
