This past September, Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated personally the Romanian people during centennial celebrations in Bucharest.
The President expressed her firm belief that mutual understanding and bilateral dialogue as well as shared aspirations to safeguard European and transatlantic unity would strengthen cooperation ties between Lithuania and Romania, opening up many new opportunities to expand the bonds of friendship, foster development and progress, improve national well-being and consolidate independence.
