Friday, October 5, Vilnius – President Dalia Grybauskaitė received a letter of gratitude from Pope Francis thanking for a warm and sincere welcome during his state visit to Lithuania.
In his letter to the President, Pope Francis expressed his gratitude for the support and concern showed by her presence at all the events. The Pope was delighted to be able to greet so many citizens of Lithuania, civil authorities and community representatives.
The Holy Father underlined that he would particularly remember his visit to the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights and would continue to pray that freedom, peace and justice remained central features of our nation’s future.
Pope Francis invoked Almighty God’s abundant blessings upon the people of Lithuania.
