Dear Fellow People of Lithuania,
Happy State Day to all!
July 6 reminds us that we have been a nation for almost 800 years – since King Mindaugas united Lithuania, leading it to Europe.
The path was long and difficult, but our people always had the courage and the resolve to resurrect Lithuanian national statehood. Therefore, the centennial anniversary celebrates the victory of all known and unknown freedom fighters, their dreams and visions that came true.
Together we have created and built this state. We molded a free nation like it is today: self-confident, recognized and respected, strong as never before.
Let us always stand proud of our creation – the State of Lithuania. May the celebrations resound throughout Lithuania and around the world – wherever there are fellow Lithuanians and friends, wherever the Lithuanian tricolor flies.
So let us say “Happy State Day!” to each other and to our homeland.
Have a wonderful and unforgettable celebration!
