In the joint letter, President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, and other EU leaders extended their best wishes to all European citizens on the occasion of Europe Day and invited them to participate in the Conference on the Future of Europe.
The Presidents of the 21 Member State of the European Union all together invited citizens to take an active part in the upcoming Conference on the Future of Europe and pointed out that Europeans needed a strong and effective European Union, a European Union that would be a global leader in the transition to sustainable, climate neutral, and digitally supported development.
The President of the Republic of Lithuania particularly invites young people to participate and share their ideas in the debate on the future of Europe. “Being Europeans means building the future together. Our strength is in unity. In Lithuania, we are creating a stronger Europe every day," Gitanas Nausėda said.
The Conference on the Future of Europe is a year-round cycle of debates and discussions that will enable people across Europe to share ideas and help shape the future of the EU. The aim of the conference is to involve as many citizens as possible in the debate and to strengthen the link between them and the EU institutions. Throughout the year, events and debates will be organised in the entire EU through a multilingual digital platform.
