Thrusday, August 22, Vilnius – President Gitanas Nausėda will meet with President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili who comes for a visit to Lithuania.
The two Presidents will discuss bilateral relations, Lithuania’s support to Georgia’s European integration, as well as collaboration in areas of politics, security, economy, and culture.
President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili is the first state leader to come for a visit to Lithuania after President Gitanas Nausėda assumed office. President Zourabichvili will address the annual conference hosted by President Valdas Adamkus organized to discuss Eastern Partnership issues.
Lithuania and Georgia renewed the diplomatic relations on 16 September 1994 and the visit coincides with the 25th anniversary of bilateral cooperation. This period was marked by close dialogue between the states, mutual political support and frequent visits by state leaders.
