President Gitanas Nausėda will attend the informal meeting of the European Council in Slovenia on 5-6 October.
The Council will focus on the EU’s role in the world, notably, its relations with China and the U.S. In the discussion of the informal Council, Gitanas Nausėda will also state that the situation on the EU border with Belarus implies the need to raise the issue of amending legislation on migration, asylum, and border protection.
On October 6, EU-Western Balkans summit will be held to take stock of the progress in the implementation of political and economic euro-integration reforms by the Western Balkan countries in ensuring security and stability in the region.
