The President received letters of credence from Botswana’s Ambassador


Wednesday, April 9, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė accepted letters of credence from Botswana's Ambassador Lameck Nthekela.

The President and the Ambassador talked about the strengthening of bilateral relations. Botswana is one of the most rapidly developing African countries, interested in cooperation in the information and high technology development.

The President invited to promote cooperation of the two countries in business and tourism spheres as well as in the international EU and UN forums.

Lameck Nthekela (48) is Botswana's second Ambassador to Lithuania residing in Sweden. The Ambassador graduated from Botswana University and holds a master's degree in business administration from the Perth University, Australia. Earlier he worked in the Botswana Ministry of Trade and Industry, was representative of Botswana's export development and investment promotion agency in London.
