Thursday, September 20, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė presented letters of credence to Lithuania's ambassador to Slovenia, Izolda Bričkovskienė.
According to the President, the bilateral relations between Lithuania and Slovenia are not intensive, yet both countries enjoy successful cooperation in international organizations.
In view of the upcoming presidency of the EU Council, the experience of Slovenia which held the presidency in 2008 will be useful for Lithuania. Cooperation is also necessary in negotiating the EU's new financial framework.
The diplomat speaks English, Polish, Russian and French. In the course of her diplomatic career Izolda Bričkovskienė served in various divisions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as in Lithuania's representations in Ireland and Poland.
