President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Kazakhstan on Independence Day.
“Friendly bilateral relations between Lithuania and Kazakhstan have been expanding for almost three decades Cooperation in trade, transport, health care, tourism, and many other fields demonstrates that our two countries are important to each other. The Lithuanian people remember and appreciate the strong moral position of your country and its people in safeguarding the memory of the victims of Soviet repressions”, said the President in the message of congratulations.
The President emphasized that the opportunities offered by the deepening relations with the European Union would open new prospects of cooperation for both countries. Kazakhstan is the first country in Central Asia to have concluded an Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the European Union and serves as a model example to other countries of the region.
The President wished all the people of Kazakhstan continued health and success.
