The President congratulated Croatia on independence anniversary

Tuesday, October 8, Vilnius – President Gitanas Nausėda extended congratulations to President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović of Croatia on Independence Day.

“The bonds of friendship that link the people of Lithuania and Croatia, the values and interests that they share have resulted in good mutual understanding and reciprocal support in addressing key issues. The increasingly dynamic trade and business contacts, joint scientific and educational projects as well as inter-institutional collaboration between our two countries will most certainly continue to advance mutually beneficial relations,” the President wrote in his message of congratulations.

Gitanas Nausėda highlighted successful bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, defense, energy, trade, and economic development as well as the wide-ranging dialogue within the European Union and NATO.

“Lithuania has a strong ally and partner, which allows us to effectively deal with the emerging challenges and to work together towards the welfare of our citizens across all areas. We consistently support Croatia’s aspirations to join the Schengen area and the euro zone and to become member of the OECD. You have accomplished a great deal on this path. I wish you to continue moving forward rapidly and successfully,” the President wrote.

Gitanas Nausėda wished Croatia and its people continued success, wellbeing and prosperity.
