Wednesday, October 21, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė received representatives of the European Business Network and nine foreign commercial chambers in Lithuania, representing European and North American businesses.
Dalia Grybauskaitė underlined that the business environment, especially regarding foreign investment, was an essential pre-condition for Lithuania's economic recovery.
President Grybauskaitė agreed with the opinion voiced by foreign investors that the problem of corruption was hindering the development of business in Lithuania. The President said that corruption was greatly damaging not only to business, but it was also undermining the foundations of society.
