Dalia Grybauskaitė presented letters of credence to Lithuania’s ambassador to Armenia

Tuesday, April 30, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė presented letters of credence to Lithuania's Ambassador to Armenia Erikas Petrikas.

According to the President, Lithuania supports the European reforms of Armenia and is ready to share its experience. It is expected that the EU-Armenia Association Agreement will be initialed during the EU Eastern Partnership Summit this autumn, with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan participating at the summit.

The President noted that Lithuania speaks up for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh issue.

Lithuania is one of the eight EU member states having embassies in Armenia. At the Lithuanian Embassy, consular services are also provided to the nationals of Denmark, Spain and Latvia.

The 50-year-old Ambassador holds a diploma in economics from Vilnius University. Earlier he worked at Lithuanian representations in Denmark, Great Britain, Switzerland, the European Union, and was the head of the Personnel Department of Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
