President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė made a one-day working visit to Vienna. In the Austrian capital, the President visited the head office of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), where she addressed OSCE Permanent Council and met with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut. During the visit, the President also met with Austrian President Heinz Fisher and Chancellor Werner Faymann.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė paid a two-day state visit to Norway. On the first day of the visit, the President was officially welcomed at the Royal Palace, where she met with King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway, Crown Prince Haakon and his wife Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and Princess Astrid.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended a two-day meeting of the European Council in Brussels. EU leaders met to discuss measures to promote EU economic recovery and competitiveness. Other key issues on the agenda included nuclear power situation in the EU and the rest of the world and measures to ensure security and stability in North Africa after the conflict in Libya.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė attended an extraordinary European Council meeting on the situation in Libya and in the wider region of Northern Africa. The leaders of all member states discussed tougher sanctions against the Libyan dictator and immediate EU aid measures for the people of Libya to help avoid a humanitarian disaster.

The President made a statement at the dinner hosted as part of the annual Munich Security Conference. The President underlined that close and working partnership between the West and Russia was critical for the Euro-Atlantic Security and the real progress was hampered heavily by the stereotypes and the inertia of views.

President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė attended a two-day meeting of the European Council in Brussels. European leaders agreed on the need to amend the EU Treaty to allow for the establishment of a permanent stability mechanism to be used to rescue struggling countries of the eurozone by helping them stabilize their financial systems.

In the framework of the Summit, the President had bilateral meetings with the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and President of the Kyrgyz Republic Roza Otunbayeva.

At their summit meeting in Lisbon, NATO leaders unanimously adopted a new Strategic Concept for the Alliance. President Dalia Grybauskaitė, attending the summit, underlined that the document sets NATO's long-term guidelines vitally important to Lithuania and its security.
